First Island Resort on Dubai

The first island resort on Dubai's 'The World'.  The first commercial project on Dubais The World group is nearing completion. The World Island Beach Club began construction in March 2009 on the island of Lebanon. The owner of the island is Dubai-based Indian entrepreneur Wakil Admed Azmi, who moved to the emirates 35 years ago. Azmi was the first purchaser of an island on the development and has since invested AED60m in its purchase and construction. Located around 30 minutes by water taxi from the Dubai shoreline, the island has a total area of 39,000 square metres, 17,000 square metres of which will be used to build the facilities and amenities.  Read More after the break...... The resort will include a restaurant for up to 100 diners, 50 beach loungers along the coast, eight cabanas and eight luxury log-cabin style changing rooms with showers, a lounge area and entertainment facilities. The island will also have a 24 square metre circular area, which can be used
